The History of Indago

Indago Research and Health Center, Inc. was founded in 2015 in Hialeah, Florida, with the vision of creating a clinical research site that combined scientific precision with authentic human care. Our founders identified a critical gap in the research landscape of South Florida: a need for a site that could deliver reliable data to global sponsors while maintaining a genuine connection with the multicultural communities it served.

In our first years, we focused on Phase III and IV clinical trials in areas such as vaccines, internal medicine, and women’s health. Through early partnerships with leading pharmaceutical companies and Contract Research Organizations (CROs), Indago quickly established a reputation for regulatory and protocol compliance, efficient start-up study, and outstanding patient retention.

By building a site sponsors could rely on for data integrity, participant diversity, and rapid enrollment, Indago established a strong foundation for long-term partnership and continued growth.

Growth and Recognition

In the last decade, Indago has experienced exponential growth: completing hundreds of trials and confirming operational excellence and adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Indago was selected as one of the U.S. sites for the Pfizer BNT162b2 vaccine trial. Our site became one of the top five highest-enrolling locations in the country, contributing essential data to the global effort to combat the pandemic. This pivotal participation established Indago as a nationally recognized clinical research center.

Today, Indago employs nearly 100 team members and boasts a volunteer database of upwards of 40,000, which is set to grow even further as we expand into Miami Lakes in early 2026 to meet increasing sponsor demand and accommodate new therapeutic areas.

The Meaning Behind the Indago Name
