She embodies the strategic and community-facing vision of the organization, fostering relationships with healthcare professionals, sponsors, and public institutions.

A distinguished healthcare and clinical research leader, Maria graduated in Otolaryngology from Havana University and brings over two decades of clinical research expertise to Indago. Throughout her career, she has successfully coordinated trials across a wide range of therapeutic areas, including Immunologic Deficiency Syndromes, Diabetes, Cardiovascular, and Infectious Diseases. Her leadership reflects a strong commitment to quality, compliance, and operational excellence across all clinical trial phases (I–IV).

Victor Suarez

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Responsible for the financial and administrative stability of the company, Victor Suarez is a seasoned healthcare executive with extensive expertise in internal medicine, clinical research, and healthcare operations. A Doctor of Medicine and Internal Medicine Specialist trained at the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences in Havana, Cuba, he has successfully transitioned from clinical practice to executive leadership, ensuring operational excellence and strategic growth.

Victor brings over 30 years of combined clinical and leadership experience to Indago, managing budgets, vendor contracts, and cost-efficiency strategies that keep Indago financially strong and sustainable. His diverse background includes executive roles at multiple research institutions and collaborations with leading pharmaceutical companies. When it comes to fiscal management and compliance with accounting and financial standards, his focus is unwavering.

Lianne Suarez

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

The strategic and operational heartbeat of Indago, Lianne Suarez oversees all departments, ensuring alignment between clinical execution, sponsor relationships, and institutional growth. With over 300 completed trials under her supervision, she is recognized for her discipline, process-oriented mindset, and strategic foresight.

A highly skilled executive, Lianne brings over 15 years of leadership experience in managing clinical trials across all study phases (I–IV). Lianne holds an MBA from Carlos Albizu University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with an emphasis in Public Administration from Brescia University. Throughout her career, she has overseen global clinical trial operations, ensuring smooth project start-up, maintenance, and close-out processes.

Dr. Jose F. Cardona, JD, MBA, MHA

Doctor of Medicine, Juris Doctor Degree, MBA, MHA

Dr. Jose F. Cardona is a distinguished Medical Doctor certified by the Florida Department of Health, boasting an impressive career that spans over 30 years. His extensive experience equips him with a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges inherent in healthcare.

In addition to his medical qualifications, Dr. Cardona is also a lawyer, bringing a unique legal perspective to his practice. He has further enhanced his expertise by obtaining a Master in Business Administration (MBA) as well as a Master in Healthcare Administration, allowing him to merge his medical and legal knowledge with effective management strategies in healthcare settings.

Dr. Cardona is driven to leverage his wealth of knowledge and experience to positively impact his community. He is dedicated to providing up-to-date information that influences public health, ensuring that individuals have access to the latest developments in drugs and treatments. Dr. Evelio H. Sosa

Adult General Psychiatrist

Doctor Evelio H. Sosa is an adult general psychiatrist and key Principal Investigator. He earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida, where he also completed his psychiatry residency. Dr. Sosa has held leadership roles at Mercy Hospital, Coral Gables Hospital, among other notable institutions. With over 25 years in clinical practice and leadership, and over a decade in clinical research, Dr. Sosa brings deep expertise in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, clinical trials, CNS disorders, psychiatric rating scales, and collaboration with major pharmaceutical companies and CROs.

Bilingual, he is fluent in Spanish and English and, has multiple areas of expertise, including Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) / Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Bipolar Disorder. He actively participates I hospital committees focused on safety, performance and recruitment.

Dr. Sosa is on a mission to use his knowledge and experience to assist individuals in maintaining stable mental health and improving their quality of life, as well as helping to advance clinical trials for the benefit of the community.

Dr. Jose L. Vega

Doctor of Medicine


Dr. Jose L. Vega is a distinguished Medical Doctor certified by the Florida Department of Health, boasting an impressive career that spans over 30 years.

Dr. Vega is driven by a passionate mission: to positively impact his community and serve others. He is dedicated to providing up-to-date information that influences public health, ensuring that individuals have access to the latest developments in drugs and treatments. His commitment to lifelong learning and professional development is evident in his continuous pursuit of knowledge and his proactive approach to staying informed about advancements in the medical field.

As an experienced Assistant Director of an Emergency Department, Dr. Vega is specialized at treating patients facing life-threatening conditions. His expertise encompasses a wide range of critical situations, including heart attacks, drug overdoses, shock, and massive bleeding. His ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure environments is a testament to his training and experience, making him a important staff in any emergency situation.

Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Vega has participated in clinical trials across all phases (I–IV) and has led over 30 studies in cardiology, vaccines, endocrinology, CNS, renal, respiratory, and women’s health.

Dr. Vega also brings extensive experience as a clinical rater, proficient in a wide range of validated assessment tools, including the MMSE, MADRS, and SCID-5-CT. He holds active certifications in ACLS, PALS, and CITI training, and consistently upholds GCP standards. Board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine (1997–2024), Dr. Vega is dedicated to advancing evidence-based medicine through ethical, high-impact clinical research.

Dr. Alfredo Lagomasino

Sub-Investigator, Family Nurse Practitioner

Dr. Alfredo Lagomasino, APRN-FNP, is a seasoned Sub-Investigator and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse at Indago Research and Health Center, Inc., where he also serves as a clinical rater and team leader.

With over two decades of medical experience, Dr. Lagomasino holds a Master’s in Nursing and APRN-FNP certification from Miami Regional Institute, as well as multiple specialties earned in Cuba in neonatology and family medicine. He has contributed significantly to over 40 clinical trials across therapeutic areas such as psychiatry, neurology, endocrinology, nephrology, and cardiovascular risk. His background includes experience as a primary care physician and specialist in both U.S. and Cuban healthcare systems.

Dr. Lagomasino is also certified in various rating scales and is fluent in English and Spanish, supporting Indago’s mission with clinical excellence and dedication.

Dr. Beatriz Jimenez

Board-Certified Pediatrician

Dr. Beatriz Jimenez is a board-certified Pediatrician with over five years of clinical experience in urgent care and primary care settings.

She is bilingual in English and Spanish and provides culturally competent, patient-centered care. She earned her medical degree in the Dominican Republic and completed residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine, in New York.

Her clinical expertise includes primary care as well as the management of a broad range of acute and high-risk pediatric conditions, including emergencies requiring rapid assessment and intervention.

She is experienced in performing minor procedures and delivering care in fast-paced environments.

Dr. Jimenez is recognized for strong clinical judgment, composure under pressure, and adaptability across diverse and underserved populations.

She is proficient with multiple EMR systems and holds current PALS and BLS certifications.

In addition, she has clinical research experience across multiple therapeutic areas, including cardiology, infectious diseases, and endocrinology, with involvement in protocol adherence, study coordination, patient safety, and data accuracy, supporting high-quality and efficient research operations.

Daniel Pineda

Director of Clinical Operations

Daniel A. Pineda, RN, is a highly skilled clinical research professional with over 15 years of experience in nursing and clinical trials. As Director of Clinical Operations at Indago, he leads with precision, dedication, and a strong commitment to regulatory compliance and patient safety. Daniel holds a Nursing degree from Miami Dade College and a Clinical Research Certification from ACRP.

Throughout his career, he has coordinated over 40 therapeutic areas, including Alzheimer’s Disease, Diabetes, and Infectious Diseases, across Phases I–IV trials. With certifications in Bone Density Scans, FibroScan, and Basic Life Support, he brings operational excellence to every project. He is also experienced in FDA Inspection procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Fluent in English and Spanish, Daniel is passionate about mentoring future healthcare professionals and advancing the standards of clinical research.

Gabriela De Armas

Team Lead: Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC)

With a strong academic foundation in biomedical engineering and biomedicine, Gabriela de Armas is a Clinical Research Coordinator and CRC Team lead at Indago. She earned her Bachelor’s from the Technological University of Havana and a Master’s from the University of Cadiz, Spain. Gabriela has contributed to a wide range of clinical studies including vaccine development, hypertension, and neurological disorders. Her research background includes extensive work at Havana’s Center for Biomaterials Studies and the Institute of Materials Science and Technology. With over 70 completed studies, she brings technical precision and a commitment to research excellence. Fluent in English and Spanish, Gabriela continues to support innovation in clinical trials through her analytical skills and deep scientific training.

Maite Ramirez

Team Lead: Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC)

Maite Ramirez is an experienced Lead Clinical Research Coordinator, with a strong track record in regulatory compliance and clinical trial management. Certified by the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), she brings nearly a decade of experience across various therapeutic areas including Alzheimer’s Disease, Cardiovascular, COPD, Schizophrenia, Women’s Health, and Vaccines. Maite holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication and has an academic background in theoretical subjects and music history. She is proficient in clinical rating tools such as EQ-5D-5L, WPAI, UBQ, and C-SSRS, ensuring data integrity and protocol adherence. Fluent in English and Spanish, Maite is recognized for her organizational excellence, communication skills, and dedication to advancing clinical research through quality-driven execution and patient-focused coordination.

Rainer Pacheco

Team Lead: Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC)

Rainer Pacheco is an experienced Lead Clinical Research Coordinator, with a multidisciplinary background in veterinary medicine, integrative health, and clinical research. He holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Universidad Central de Las Villas, a degree in Informatics Engineering from Universidad de Holguín, and a Master’s in Integrative Medicine from Acupuncture and Massage College in Miami. Rainer has contributed to many clinical studies in vaccines, cardiology, diabetes, and endocrinology. He is also experienced in FDA Inspection procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. His professional journey includes leadership roles in private research organizations and co-founding a medical institute. Fluent in English and Spanish, Rainer is known for his precision, patient-focused care, and operational excellence in high-stakes research environments.


Alejandro Rodriguez

Team Lead: Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC)

Alejandro Rodriguez is a dedicated Study Coordinator and Rater at Indago, bringing a strong foundation in clinical trial operations and patient assessment. He’s foreign graduated Doctor of Medicine from the University of Medical Sciences in Santiago de Cuba. Alejandro also holds certifications as a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator and Registered Behavior Technician. His experience spans multiple therapeutic areas, including neurology, pediatric, psychiatry, cardiology, and respiratory diseases, supporting over 30 completed clinical studies. He has expertise with various clinical rating scales such as MADRS, QIDS-SR-16, and ADAS-Cog 12. Fluent in English and Spanish, Alejandro is recognized for his precision in clinical evaluations, regulatory compliance, and patient-centered approach. Ruben Leal

Research Lab Manager

Ruben Leal serves as the Laboratory Manager at Indago Research and Health Center, Inc., bringing a comprehensive academic and clinical background in biotechnology and phlebotomy. He holds a B.S. in Biotechnology from Florida Gulf Coast University and has completed multiple phlebotomy certifications through FL Clinical Solutions. With hands-on experience in laboratory operations, Ruben has contributed to over 19 clinical trials, particularly in the areas of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, atrial fibrillation, and multiple vaccine studies. His career spans roles from biomedical technician to laboratory operations manager, showcasing his leadership and technical capabilities. Ruben is GCP-trained and bilingual in English and Spanish, which enables him to manage diverse lab teams and ensure protocol compliance. His precision and reliability make him a critical asset to clinical trial execution and data integrity at Indago.

Paola Estrada

Office Manager

Paola Estrada is an Office Manager supporting clinical research operations through front desk management, departmental coordination, and oversight of Environmental Services.

She brings approximately four years of experience in office management, with prior experience in bookkeeping, finance, and service coordination, contributing to efficient administrative operations.

Dainel Cruz is the Human Resources Manager at Indago Research and Health Center, Inc. As an experienced full-cycle healthcare recruiter, HR Business Partner, and HRIS Specialist, Dainel combines his clinical knowledge of 11 years of experience in clinical research with strategic HR leadership. Dainel holds a degree in Information Technology and has successfully led initiatives that integrate operational efficiency with regulatory compliance in clinical settings. He has participated in over 200 clinical trials and brings a strong foundation in data management, quality control, auditing, and business development. Outside of work, he enjoys playing soccer and chess, and has a deep personal interest in human evolution.

Alberto Hernandez

IT Manager

Alberto Hernandez is a Systems Administrator, IT specialist, and Software Developer with more than 30 years of experience in the field. On of the creators of Indago’s custom CMS system, he’s on a mission to make technology more accessible for everyone. He loves to swim on his free time.

Carlos Adrián Hidalgo is a Business Strategy Partner supporting cross-functional strategy, operations, and institutional alignment.

He brings over five years of experience in clinical research operations and business analytics, with a focus on quality management systems, process standardization, continuous improvement, and translating executive vision into structured, scalable systems.

He brings over seven years of clinical experience and more than four years in clinical research, with a strong foundation in patient-centered care, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement processes.

Focused on patient recruitment, retention optimization, and study enrollment performance, he leads strategic initiatives to enhance participant engagement, streamline patient flow, and support organizational growth.

He holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Medical Sciences in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba, and has obtained a Registered Nurse (RN) license and a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). He is currently advancing his training through a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program.

With experience in workforce development and clinical research operations, Reidel plays a key role in identifying and attracting talent across Clinical Operations, Patient Recruitment, Regulatory Affairs, Data Entry, Business Development, and Administrative Services.

He works closely with department leaders to ensure candidates align with both the technical requirements of each role and Indago’s patient-centered culture.
