GZP2 is a clinical research study from Eli Lilly and Company. It is testing if an investigational medicine (a medicine being studied) can safely help people with obesity or overweight, and type 2 diabetes manage their blood glucose (sugar) levels and reduce their body weight.
Can I join this study?#
Yes, you may be able to join the study if you:
• are 18 years of age or older
• have a BMI of 25 or higher
• have type 2 diabetes
• have not had any significant changes to your type 2 diabetes treatment for at least 3 months before joining the study
• have tried to lose weight by changing what you eat but it did not work
• have not lost or gained more than 11 pounds (5kg) of your body weight over the last 3 months
BMI stands for body mass index. It is a number that compares a person’s weight to their height. It can be used to check if a person is at risk for certain health conditions. If you do not know what your BMI is, you can ask your doctor.
