GZP1 is a clinical research study from Eli Lilly and Company. It is testing if an investigational medicine (a medicine being studied) can safely help people with obesity or overweight with at least 1 weight-related health condition, reduce their body weight.
Can I join this study?#
Yes, you may be able to join the study if you:
- are 18 years of age or older
- have a BMI of 30 or higher
OR
- have a BMI of 25 or higher and at least 1 of the weight-related health conditions listed:
− high blood pressure
− high cholesterol
− Obstructive Sleep Apnea
− heart disease - have tried to lose weight by changing what you eat but it did not work
- have not lost or gained more than 11 pounds (5kg) of your body weight over the last 3 months
- do not have diabetes
- are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant or breastfeed
BMI stands for body mass index. It is a number that compares a person’s weight to their height. It can be used to check if a person is at risk for certain health conditions. If you do not know what your BMI is, you can ask your doctor.
