At Indago Research and Health Center, we stand in solidarity with millions around the world on World Multiple Sclerosis Day, observed every May 30th. This global movement brings together the MS community to raise awareness, foster connection, and inspire action for people living with multiple sclerosis (MS) a chronic, often disabling disease of the central nervous system.
Understanding Multiple Sclerosis
MS is an autoimmune condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks the protective covering of nerves, disrupting communication between the brain and the body. Symptoms can vary widely, from fatigue and difficulty walking to cognitive changes and vision problems. While there is currently no cure, significant advances in research and treatment have greatly improved the quality of life for those affected.
This Year’s Theme: “My MS Diagnosis”
The 2024–2025 World MS Day theme, “My MS Diagnosis,” highlights the importance of early and accurate diagnosis. Many people with MS face long delays, misdiagnoses, and emotional uncertainty while searching for answers. This campaign sheds light on the barriers to diagnosis and amplifies the voices of those who have gone through this journey.
At Indago, we recognize how crucial timely diagnosis is for clinical care, research participation, and emotional well-being. Our research team is dedicated to contributing to clinical trials that aim to improve diagnostic tools and develop more effective therapies for MS.
